Paints in this product line are one-component paints containing alkyd resins, often in combination with other substances (oils, rubber …). Alkyd paints have a relatively good adhesion even to steel base which is not sufficiently surface-treated (sandblasting).
The topcoating using alkyd paints oxidize due to weather conditions. Alkyd paints are highly permeable to oxygen, water vapor and sulfur dioxide. Not resistant to chemicals. They are therefore usable as basic, underlying and topcoats for mild to moderately corrosive conditions, or as temporary corrosion protection.
